Punch Cards & Memberships

With Timing you sell a customer a punch card, for example 10 treatments or 10 classes, or a membership for a period. A visit comes off when you mark it on the appointment, or on its own when the appointment is marked completed if you turned that on, and you always see how many are left and until when the card is valid.

Why Punch Cards & Memberships in Timing?

  • A punch card of several visits, or a membership for a period: pick what fits your business

  • Timing counts the visits, with no paper cards and nothing to remember

  • Automatic deduction if you want it: marking the appointment completed uses a visit on its own

  • Used a visit by mistake? Give it back to the card in one tap

  • An appointment paid with the card and cancelled before it starts gives the visit back to the card

  • A heads-up when a customer has one visit left: the right time to offer a new card

  • Validity in months or days, or a card that never expires

How It Works

  1. Set Up a Card or Membership

Choose a name and a price, how many visits the card has, which services it covers and how long it is valid. A membership is valid for a period, with no visit counting.

  2. Sell It to a Customer

From the customer card, pick the punch card or membership and confirm. It opens for the customer with its visit count and expiry date.

  3. The Customer Comes In

Take a visit off in one tap, from the customer card or from the appointment itself. Turned on automatic deduction for the card? Marking the appointment completed takes a visit off on its own.

  4. See What's Left

The customer card shows how many visits are left and when the card expires. A card that is used up or expired moves to the customer's past cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a punch card and a membership?

A punch card is a set number of visits, and each visit you use comes off it. A membership is valid for a period, for example a month, with no visit counting.

When does a visit come off the card?

When you use it: in one tap from the customer card or the appointment, or on its own when the appointment is marked completed, if you turned on automatic deduction for the card. It stays off until you turn it on, and if the customer holds several matching cards, Timing waits for you to choose.

Can customers buy a card online on their own?

No. You can show your cards on your booking page, next to your services, so customers see them and their price, but the purchase itself is made with you: you sell the card from the customer card.

What happens when a card runs out or expires?

It moves to the past cards section on the customer card, so the history is kept. You get a heads-up when one visit is left.

Which plan includes it?

Punch cards and memberships start on the Professional plan. They are opening to businesses gradually, so they are not yet available to every business.
