Beauty salon booking app in Israel, with WhatsApp reminders
Timing is a booking app for beauty salons in Israel. Clients book at any hour through a unique link, receive an automatic WhatsApp reminder before the appointment, at the time you choose (from Basic, ₪79 a month on the website), and from the Professional plan the whole team works in one shared calendar, filtered by stylist. Free up hours from manual scheduling and focus on treatments.

Challenges Facing Beauty Salons
Constant phone calls to schedule appointments between treatments waste valuable time
Colour with time to set in the middle: the chair is free for half an hour, but the calendar shows it as booked
Managing availability of multiple stylists simultaneously is error-prone
A client who misses a colour and blow-dry leaves a two-hour hole in the day
Each client's colour formula lives in a notebook, or only in your memory
Hard to track revenue per service and per stylist
How It Works, Step by Step
Build your service menu
Set up each service with a duration, a price and a description: a cut, a blow-dry, root colour, highlights, a straightening treatment. A service that takes longer on long hair is set up as two services, and Timing shows clients only the times where the service they picked fits in your calendar.
Set your hours, breaks and days off
On every plan you set working hours, block time for a regular lunch break, a training day or a holiday of several days, and add a rest after each appointment, from 5 minutes to 2 hours, to clean your station and brushes. In a salon with more than one person (from the Professional plan), each stylist has their own working hours.
Share your link
Your booking page link goes in your Instagram bio, your WhatsApp status and your Google business profile. Clients book from it themselves, from any phone, without downloading an app, and see photos of your work on your business page.
Bookings land in your calendar
A new booking is confirmed at once or waits for your approval, by one setting for the whole business. From the Professional plan the client also picks which stylist to book with, and the appointment is booked under that stylist on the shared calendar.
Reminders, and the next appointment booked ahead
From the Basic plan, every client gets an automatic WhatsApp reminder before the appointment, at the time you chose. A client who comes for a blow-dry every week or for root colour once a month gets a recurring appointment, on every plan, and other clients get their next appointment booked from their client card before they leave.
A Sample Service Menu
The services and lengths here are an example. In Timing each business sets up its own services, each with its own duration and price, and the free times on the booking page are worked out from the duration.
| Service | Typical length | How to set it up in Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Women's haircut | 45 min | A basic service with a duration and a price. If a cut with a blow-dry takes longer, set it up as a separate service with its own duration. |
| Blow-dry, long hair | 45 min | If a blow-dry on short hair takes less time, set it up as a separate service with a shorter duration, so the calendar does not keep the same time for both. |
| Root colour | 1 h 30 min | Colour with time to set in the middle: from the Professional plan you set it up as a split service, for example 30 minutes of work, a 30-minute wait and 30 minutes to rinse and dry, and the wait opens for another booking. |
| Highlights | 2 h 30 min | Highlights with time for the lightener can also be a split service, from the Professional plan. If you stay with the client the whole time, set it up as one service with the full duration. |
| Keratin straightening | 3 h | A treatment of several hours. Set the full duration, washing and flat-ironing included, and the booking page offers it only on days with enough free time in a row. |
| Evening updo | 1 h | Include pinning and setting in the duration. For a bride who wants a trial before the event, set up a trial updo as a separate service. |
How Timing Helps Beauty Salons
Online Self-Booking
A unique link for your salon. Clients choose their service, date, and time at any hour, with no phone call, and in a salon with several stylists (from the Professional plan) their stylist too.
WhatsApp Reminders
An automatic WhatsApp message before every appointment, at a preset time you choose (from the Basic plan). The wording is a fixed template, and you can add a note to each service that goes out with the reminder.
One Team Calendar
From the Professional plan (up to 2 people, the owner included; up to 5 on Premium), there is one shared calendar for the whole team, filtered by stylist, with each stylist's own working hours. A time that is already taken cannot be booked from your booking page.
Client card with the colour formula
Every client is kept on a card with their visit history, total spend and tags. In the notes you write the colour formula and shade, and the client never sees them.
Colour as a split service
From the Professional plan you set up colour as a split service, work, a wait and more work, and while the colour sets, the calendar is open for another client's blow-dry or cut.
Business Analytics
On every plan: revenue over time against the previous period, each service's share of bookings, new clients and peak hours. From the Professional plan you also see revenue per stylist.
Practical Tips for Beauty Salons
Choose when the reminder goes out
From the Basic plan you pick one time for the WhatsApp reminder, from 15 minutes to 72 hours before the appointment. For long appointments like highlights or straightening, pick an early time that comes before your cancellation deadline, so the cancel button in attendance confirmations (from the Professional plan) works and you have time to fill the slot.
A service note that goes out with the reminder
From the Basic plan you can save a note for each service that goes out with the reminder, for example to come to a colour appointment with hair not washed that day, or to tell you if they coloured their hair at home since the last visit.
Before the holidays: a waiting list
In the weeks before Rosh Hashanah and Passover the calendar fills up fast. From the Professional plan, with the waiting list switched on, a client who found no free time joins it, and a time that opens goes to the first client on the list whose request fits.
Keep the colour formula in the notes
On every plan, after each colour you write the shades, the mix and the processing time in the notes on the client card. At the next appointment the formula is in front of you, and the client never sees the notes.
