How to change your availability settings

This is where your booking rules live: auto approval, slot intervals, cancellation policy, reminders, waiting list, and more. The screen most worth knowing.

Where to start

The "Business" tab, then the "Availability" button at the top

  1. Open the "Business" tab

Tap "Business" in the bottom bar.

  2. Tap "Availability" at the top

The button sits in the top corner of the screen, labelled "Availability". The first time round it glows softly to catch your eye. It opens "Availability & Notifications".

  3. Start with auto approval

The single most consequential setting. On, every booking enters your calendar immediately. Off, every booking waits for you in the "Requests" tab.

  4. Set the interval between appointments

The interval decides which start times are offered. A 15 minute interval gives 10:00, 10:15, 10:30. A 30 minute interval gives fewer choices but a tidier calendar.

    Choosing the slot interval.
  5. Set a cancellation policy

How many hours before an appointment a customer can still cancel by themselves. After that they have to contact you. You can also choose "Unlimited".

  6. Turn on customer reminders

A reminder sent before the appointment cuts no shows sharply. Choose how far in advance it goes out.

    Zoom

Enabling reminders and picking the timing.
  7. Open "Advanced" when you are ready

That group holds rest time after appointments, gap filling between appointments, the booking window that decides how far ahead people can book, and the thank you message sent afterwards.

Tips from the field

Every setting has a small info icon. Tapping it explains exactly what the setting does without leaving the screen.

Business hours are not here. They live in "Business Settings" under "Business Hours".

"Rest after appointments" adds fixed time after every appointment. Useful when you need to tidy, clean, or just breathe between customers.

If you get far more requests than you have room for, a shorter booking window helps you stay in control.

Common questions

Timing asks whether to approve them all. You can choose "Approve All" or handle them individually.

They belong to a higher plan. Tapping the setting shows which plan includes it.

No. Everything here applies to new bookings. Appointments already in your calendar do not move.

In the "Advanced" group, under "Booking Window". You can choose anywhere from one week to a year, or no limit.
