The Short Answer
In Timing you add metrics to a service, for example weight, a score or a time, and at each appointment for that service you tap "Log Session" and record the result. The client page shows a "Progress Summary" with the current value, the start, the best and the change, and the "Progress Timeline" tab lists every entry by date. Performance tracking is available on the Premium plan (₪199 a month).
Who It Suits
- Personal trainers: weight, waist measurement, reps or running time.
- Dietitians and nutrition coaches: weight and percentages, with a note on the meal plan.
- Private tutors: a score on a practice test, or how many exercises came out right.
- Therapists: range of motion, pain level on a scale, or the length of an exercise.
What they share: the client wants to see they are moving forward, and you want to know what works. A number recorded at every session answers both questions.
Four Kinds of Metrics
| Type | Suits | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Number | Anything you count or weigh | Weight in kg, reps |
| Duration | Times | A 2 km running time |
| Percentage | A ratio or progress | Body fat, success rate in practice |
| Text | What a number cannot measure | Feedback, how it felt, what you practised |
Each metric can have a unit, for example cm or points, and you can mark it "Required" when you want it filled in at every entry.
How to Set It Up
- In the menu, in the "Business page" group, choose "Services" and open the service.
- In the "Performance Tracking" section tap "Add Metric".
- Fill in a name, choose a type, add a unit if needed, and decide whether the metric is required.
- Save the service.
Metrics belong to the service, so every client who comes for that service is measured the same way.
How to Record Each Session
An appointment for a service with metrics shows "Log Session". Tap it, fill in the values and a note if you want, and save. For the note you choose "Visible to customer" or "Private", and it starts on "Visible to customer", so switch to "Private" when the note is only for you and your team.
What You See on the Client Page
- Progress Summary: for each metric "Current", "Start", "Best" and "Change", and the number of measurements.
- Progress Timeline: every entry by date, with a filter by service.
- Corrections: a wrong entry can be edited or deleted from the timeline.
With the figures in order on the client page, the end-of-month review starts from the numbers, not from memory. More on what to keep for every client is in common client management mistakes.
Tips for Measuring That Works
- Few metrics. Two or three that really matter beat ten that nobody fills in.
- Same conditions. Measure at the same time and the same way each session, or the change does not say much.
- "Required" only for what must be there. A required metric will not let you save an entry without it, so keep it for the main one.
What It Does Not Do
Performance tracking is made for one-to-one services, and is not available on a group service with several participants. And an appointment with no client has no "Log Session".
Where to Start
Pick one service, give it one or two metrics, and record them at every session for a month. Examples by field are on the pages for personal trainers and dietitians and nutrition coaches. Start free: your first business gets a one-time 14-day Premium trial, with no credit card.
