No-show calculator: how much money are you losing?

Every no-show costs you the price of the appointment, and it repeats every week. For example, 3 no-shows a week at ₪150 each is ₪450 a week, ₪23,400 a year, which is ₪1,950 a month. Enter your business's numbers and the full arithmetic appears below.

The arithmetic

  • A week: no-shows × average price3 × ₪150 = ₪450
  • A year: the week × 52 weeks₪450 × 52 = ₪23,400
  • A month: the year ÷ 12 months₪23,400 ÷ 12 = ₪1,950

Of the ₪6,000 that a week's appointments should bring in, ₪450 never comes in.

How do you cut no-shows?

Three things work together: remind the customer of the appointment, ask them to confirm they are coming, and fill any time that frees up. The first reminds, the second brings a cancellation forward, and the third fills the gap that opens anyway.

A reminder before every appointment

A customer who forgot is a no-show you can prevent. Timing sends every customer a WhatsApp reminder before the appointment, at a time you choose from preset times, 15 minutes to 72 hours.

WhatsApp reminders

A request to confirm attendance

Once you turn on attendance confirmations, the customer confirms or cancels with a button in the reminder, and a confirmed appointment is marked for you. That way a cancellation reaches you before the appointment, not after it.

A waiting list for the freed time

When an appointment is cancelled, the time is booked for the first customer on the waiting list whose service fits, or waits for your approval. It stays off until you turn it on, and the guide shows how.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a no-show?

An appointment the customer did not come to, or cancelled so late that the time could no longer be filled. Either way the time stays empty, so the calculator counts both together.

How does the calculator work out a month?

A year has 52 weeks. The calculator multiplies the weekly loss by 52 and divides by 12, so a month is about 4.33 weeks, not 4. It assumes the business works every week of the year: if you close for a few weeks, the yearly total is smaller by that much.

What does the calculator leave out?

Only the price of the appointment is counted. Time spent getting ready, materials prepared in advance or a customer who does not come back after a no-show are not part of it.

Do I need to sign up to use the calculator?

No. The calculator is free, with no sign-up and no form to send: the result updates as soon as you change a number.

By how much does Timing cut no-shows?

We have no measured number we can stand behind, so we will not make one up. What you can check: a WhatsApp reminder goes out before every appointment, and once you turn on attendance confirmations, the customer confirms or cancels with a button in the reminder. Run your own numbers through the calculator before and after, and see for yourself.
